No. Donations of any amount are appreciated!

Unfortunately, no. However, summer feeding programs are available through regional food banks.

Will the money I donate help students where I live?

Yes, all funds collected will remain in the community where the donation was made.

How much does it cost to feed a child for a school year?

On average, it costs $140 to feed a hungry child for an entire school year.

How are children selected to receive food packs?

Children who receive Secret Meals are identified by school officials (teachers, counselors or social workers) as going without food over the weekends. Schools officials request a certain number of food packs to discreetly give the children they know are going hungry on the weekends.

What comes in the food packs?

Each food pack contains two breakfasts, two lunches, and two snacks to help sustain a child over the weekend, and weighs 3.5 pounds. All food is packaged in easy pull-tab cans, boxes and bowls to allow for easy access. All items are child-friendly and vitamin-fortified.
