Comedy night will raise money for Secret Meals program

Jermaine “Funnymaine” Johnson will headline a comedy fundraiser to benefit the Secret Meals for Hungry Children program.

Johnson is a Birmingham standup comedian known for his “How Alabama fans watched the game” videos on Facebook.

The comedy night will begin with food and drink specials starting at 5 p.m. March 27 at Wilhagan’s Grille and Taproom, 2209 Fourth St. in Tuscaloosa. Comedian Jacob Powell, a University of Alabama student, will open the show at 7 p.m., followed by Johnson.

Tickets can be purchased at www.eventbrite.com. Adult tickets cost $20 and student tickets cost $15. VIP tickets, which include a meet-and-greet, cost $35.

Seating is first come, first served.

All proceeds will benefit the Alabama Credit Union’s Secret Meals program, which provides nutritious meals to local schoolchildren.
